Future Agents In Training (FAIT) Teen Academy is a week-long, immersive FBI experience for high school students interested in law enforcement, community safety, and public service careers, as well as those interested in getting involved in community service. Over the course of the program, students will have an opportunity to interact with FBI employees as well as other law enforcement partners and community leaders to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the FBI works, learn about issues important to their community, and develop insights into how they can become involved in improving communities.
Norfolk Chapter of the FAIT Teen Academy are taught by Special Agents, senior managers and professional staff.
Current high school students ages 16 to 18 years old who live in the greater Hampton Roads area are eligible to apply. Students graduating from an accredited high school in the Spring of the current year are eligible to apply. Students are encouraged to share the information they have learned and serve as peer mentors when appropriate. The minimum GPA is 3.0; however, no student will be assured a seat by GPA alone. All students must submit a well-written essay detailing why they want to attend the academy and how the experience will benefit their school and/or community. Students should list all school activities and community involvement that demonstrate that he or she is a well-rounded student.

The FAIT Teen Academy is a one-week long, immersive program run once or twice each year.
There are no tuition fees for those students accepted into the program. Students will have to arrange for their own daily transportation to and from the instruction sites, as well as bring lunch each day of the program. Continental breakfast, water and snacks will be provided throughout the day. Students will be asked to purchase two FBI Future Agent in Training shirts to wear for specific outings. The FBI Norfolk Citizens Academy Alumni Association will provide shirts for students who cannot afford to pay and will also donate other teaching materials and gear for all students in the program.
